Best lecture and best poster awards at NIVB meeting 2023

Best Lecture Awards
Ondřej Bulvas and Alžběta Dostálková have received awards for the best lectures at the NIVB meeting 2023. Ondřej’s captivating lecture, “Deciphering the allosteric regulation of mycobacterial inosine-5′-monophosphate dehydrogenase,” shed light on critical aspects of mycobacterial enzyme regulation. Equally remarkable was Alžběta’s presentation, “DHX15, a cellular RNA helicase, starring in the MPMV replication cycle,” which uncovered intriguing insights into the MPMV replication process.
Best Poster Awards
Karolína Štaflová and Jakub Kaňka have been honored with the awards for their exceptional posters at the NIVB meeting 2023. Karolína’s poster, “Investigating the Role of SCAMP3 in Hepatitis B Virus Infection,” unveiled critical insights into the interaction between SCAMP3 and the hepatitis B virus, contributing to our understanding of this infection. Equally commendable is Jakub’s poster, “Enlightening the Quietness – The Search for Early Silenced Proviruses,” which brings to light the fascinating world of early silenced proviruses.
