NIVB meeting 2023

IMG

We are excited to share the highlights of the second NIVB meeting held from October 2nd to October 5th, 2023, in Kutná Hora. Building upon the success of the inaugural event in 2022, this year’s meeting continued to unite experts in the fields of virology and bacteriology, fostering collaboration, and driving groundbreaking research.

Bridging Communities, Forging Partnerships

While the participating teams share a common passion for virology and bacteriology, their research methodologies are diverse. This diversity serves as a catalyst for new scientific partnerships rooted in multidisciplinary approaches, aligning perfectly with the NIVB’s core objectives.

Informing the Scientific Community

The 2023 meeting is the second in a series of planned annual gatherings, and its primary aim remains to inform the wider scientific community about the latest developments, emerging trends, and pressing issues in the fields of virology and bacteriology.

A Diverse and Insightful Program

The program for this year’s meeting was diverse and insightful, featuring presentations and discussions by esteemed experts. Awarded presentations included:

  • Ondřej Bulvas: Deciphering the allosteric regulation of mycobacterial inosine-5′-monophosphate dehydrogenase
  • Alžběta Dostálková: DHX15, a cellular RNA helicase, starring in the MPMV replication cycle

Shaping the Future of Science

The NIVB meeting is not just a platform for learning and networking; it’s a hub for shaping the future of science. It is an invitation to engage with experts, explore innovative research, and contribute to our collective understanding of infectious diseases.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the scientists, partners, and all attendees for making the NIVB meeting 2023 a resounding success.
