Michaela Rumlová

Michaela Rumlová is a professor at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, where she heads the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and teaches the subjects of Molecular Biology and partially Virology. Currently, she is a vice-rector for external relations and communication. She leads and trains students of bachelor’s, diploma and doctoral study programs. Her main scientific interests include the study of various aspects of the replication cycles of retroviruses, flaviviruses and coronaviruses. Her work was awarded the Otto Wichterle Award of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the GAČR Chairwoman’s Award, and the Rector’s Award of VŠCHT Prague.
