Iva Pichová

Iva Pichová is a leader of the Group of viral and bacterial proteins at IOCB. In 2002 – 2022, she was the vice director for research at IOCB. The research of her laboratory focuses mainly on functional and structural studies of key proteins from Hepatitis B virus and Mycobacteria spp and their interactions with cellular proteins. She was the principal investigator of the NPU I project InterBioMed and participated in OPVV project CheBioDrug at IOCB. She is teaching the subject Gene and protein engineering at the University of South Bohemia and has supervised 20 PhD students. Her work was awarded by the medal of Josef Hlávka and by the Award of the Ministry of Education for outstanding results in VaVaI in 2022.
